We recently led a multi-agency operation to recover stolen vehicles and arrest vehicle theft suspects in the Fife area. In total, 7 vehicles were recovered and 6 arrests were made. Two vehicles fled from officers during the emphasis.
The following vehicles were recovered during the operation:
BMW X7 (unoccupied)
Stolen from the Fife area. Located at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of 62nd Ave E in Fife.
Ford Escape (occupied)
Stolen from the Everett area. Located in the 3300 block of Pacific Hwy E in Fife. A 35-year-old male was arrested and booked into jail for unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. A 34-year-old male was arrested and booked into jail for a malicious mischief (DV-related) warrant.
Honda CRV (unoccupied)
Stolen from the King County area. Located in a motel parking lot in the 3400 block of Pacific Hwy E in Fife.
Honda CRV (occupied)
Stolen from the Seattle area. Located in the 2300 block of 58th Ave E in Fife. A 21-year-old female was arrested and booked into jail for unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle.
Ford F-250 (occupied)
Stolen from the Puyallup Reservation. Located in the 3800 block of Taylor Way E in Fife. The driver fled on foot.
Honda Odessey (unoccupied)
Stolen from the Fife area. Located in a motel parking lot in the 5200 block of 20th St E in Fife.

Stolen from the King County area. Located at a truck stop in the 1500 block of 33rd Ave E in Fife. A 36-year-old female was arrested and booked into jail for unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle.
Officers spotted a Toyota Sequoia that had an expired registration (exp. 2021), so they initiated a traffic stop. Upon further investigation, officers determined the vehicle was not stolen, but it had stolen “2024” tabs on it. The 44-year-old male driver is a convicted felon on federal probation and had a stolen gun on his waistband. He was arrested and booked into jail for unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm. Detectives searched the vehicle and located 96 grams of fentanyl, 19 grams of heroin, 58 grams of methamphetamine, scales, baggies, and a gun. Additional charges were forwarded to the prosecutor for review.
Officers also located and arrested a 40-year-old male who had just committed a domestic violence assault.

“Auto thefts are a regional issue,” said Sgt. Jeff Carroll of the Puget Sound Auto Theft Task Force. “We have detectives from multiple agencies within King and Pierce Counties working together to aggressively investigate prolific thieves and get people their stolen vehicles back.”
Tips to protect your vehicle:
- Remove or hide all valuables
- Lock your car
- Don’t leave keys or fobs inside
- Don’t leave your vehicle running unattended
- Use anti-theft devices (alarm, kill switch, steering wheel lock
- Park in well-lit areas
