Last week, the Puget Sound Auto Theft Task Force (PSATTF) led a multi-agency operation to recover stolen vehicles and arrest vehicle theft suspects in the Federal Way area. In total, eight vehicles were recovered and three arrests were made.
The following vehicles were recovered during the operation:
Honda Accord (unoccupied)
Stolen from the Federal Way area.
Ford Ranger (unoccupied)
Stolen from the Federal Way area.
Toyota Yaris (unoccupied)
Stolen from the Federal Way area.
Kia Rio (unoccupied)
Stolen from the Seattle area.
Cadillac CTS (occupied)
Stolen from unincorporated King County. Recovered at an apartment complex at 1st Ave S and SW Campus Dr. Driver was arrested and booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle and for warrants.
A detective located a Ford Ranger and a GeoPro travel trailer in a parking lot in the 35000 block of Enchanted Pkwy S. The truck had been stolen from the Puyallup area and the travel trailer had been stolen from the Tacoma area. A male and female were seen entering and exiting the trailer. The female left in a Kia Forte and a detective followed her to the 34800 block of SR 99. The Kia had switched plates and was stolen. The male and female were arrested and booked into jail for three counts of possession of a stolen vehicle. They also had warrants. A handgun was located inside the truck.

– Remove or hide all valuables
– Lock your car
– Don’t leave keys or fobs inside
– Don’t leave your vehicle running unattended
– Use anti-theft devices (alarm, kill switch, steering wheel lock
– Park in well-lit areas
