Over the Weekend 5-26-26

#1 Robbery-Homicide of 17-year-old

On May 24 at approximately 7:13 p.m., multiple calls were received reporting that a male had been shot and was lying in the roadway at the 10200 block of Sheridan Ave. S in Parkland. Deputies learned a vehicle pulled up and robbed the male, then shot him. New surveillance released shows the suspect vehicle. #2 Stabbing

On May 25th, just before 10:00 pm, deputies responded to a male who had been stabbed multiple times. We later learned the male had come over to his friend’s house after he learned his friends were involved in a domestic altercation with another person at the house. When the victim arrived, the suspect attacked him with a knife. The 28-year-old victim suffered from several lacerations and stab wounds and was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The 44-year-old suspect refused to come out of the house, and negotiations lasted about 10 minutes before he finally came out. The male was heavily intoxicated and refused to go down to the ground for handcuffing.  He was tased, then taken into custody. He was later booked into the Pierce County Jail for assault in the 1st degree.  

#3 Motor Vehicle Fatality with Injured Passenger and Puppy

This third call was a motor vehicle fatality off Orville Rd E and Griggs Rd. E in Graham. Multiple callers reported a single pick-up truck that had crashed into a ditch. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt and had sustained major injuries. The 55-year-old male driver succumbed to his injuries and died a short time later. The 41-year-old male passenger sustained serious injuries. A puppy was also located injured, and a bystander took the puppy to an emergency veterinary hospital for care. The status of the passenger and puppy is unknown.
