We recently received a generous donation from a Pierce County couple to purchase a K9 Storm SWAT ballistic-resistant vest. Not all our dogs have these vests, and we are incredibly grateful for the support to our K9 Unit. Because of them, K9 Deebo is better equipped to serve and protect our community while having an added layer of protection in the face of danger.
Protective vests are a critical piece of equipment for law enforcement K9s. These specially designed vests help shield our canine partners from ballistic threats, stab injuries, and other hazards they may encounter in the line of duty. K9s often enter dangerous situations alongside their handlers, placing themselves at risk to protect others. The protection provided by this equipment can mean the difference between life and death, allowing these dedicated partners to perform their duties more safely and effectively.
