The Puget Sound Auto Theft Task Force (PSATTF) is a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement team dedicated to combating organized auto theft rings and prolific car thieves across King and Pierce counties in Washington. With July being National Vehicle Theft Prevention Month, we want to provide helpful tips that could save you from having your vehicle stolen and experiencing one of the worst days of your life. Choose well-lit parking areas with good visibility and security cameras whenever possible. Thieves are less likely to target vehicles where they’re more likely to be seen.
We want to thank the Washington Auto Theft Prevention Authority (WATPA), Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force (SNOCAT), and the Puget Sound Auto Theft Task Force for providing resources and focusing on preventing and recovering stolen vehicles to their rightful owners.
