On 08-11-2024, deputies attempted to contact a male sleeping in a stolen F550 and he fled leading deputies on a pursuit into King County. Washington State Patrol took over the pursuit which headed into Snohomish County before he went south to Seattle, crashed and fled on foot. He left his 4-yr-old son and girlfriend behind in the vehicle. We were able to positively identify the suspect and knew we would be meeting him soon.
On 08-21-2024, at 09:22 am our deputies responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle at 74th Ave E and 188th St Ct E. When our deputy ran the license plate she recognized the owner as the passenger from the stolen F350 incident.
Deputies immediately called for additional units believing one of the occupants may be our suspect from the pursuit who had several felony warrants and was known to carry firearms.
When additional units arrived they setup containment and started a felony stop. The suspects 4-yr-old child exited the vehicle and deputies took him to safety. The suspect and his girlfriend still refused to cooperate.
Deputies utilized a 40mm less lethal round to make a hole in the rear window of the vehicle. The woman started to yell she was getting dressed. After a few moments the suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot, naked. He had jumped several fences before deputies lost sight of him. They setup a perimeter and called for K9 Bronco to assist.
Bronco tracked to a backyard and located the suspect inside a trash can. He was then taken into custody without any further attempts to flee.
This suspect continuously tried to evade law enforcement until he came eye to eye with K9 Bronco. Only wearing a birthday suit, he finally made a good decision and surrendered to our deputies.
Awesome Job Deputies and Good boy BRONCO!!!
