\nAggravated Assault, Vehicle Theft<\/strong>
\n100 blk 129th St S, Parkland<\/strong><\/p>\n

A deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle theft that occurred at an apartment complex. When she contacted the victim, he told her that his wife had gone outside and noticed a broken window and ignition damage on their Kia Soul. The victim said a man pulled up in a Kia Forte and yelled at him to get away from the vehicle. The victim explained it was his vehicle, but the man argued with him and said it was his. The man then pointed a gun at the victim and again ordered him to step away. The victim ran to a nearby coffee shop, and when he returned a few minutes later, the vehicle was gone.<\/p>\n

\nATV Collision<\/strong>
\n31800 blk Camp One Rd E, Graham<\/strong><\/p>\n

911 call-takers received an automated crash notification and spoke with a man who requested medical aid. He said his ATV flipped over on Camp One Road. A Mountain Detachment deputy responded to the scene along with fire personnel. According to the victim, he was coming around a corner on his side-by-side ATV and swerved to avoid a deer in the road. This caused the ATV to roll over. A passenger was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.<\/p>\n

\nArmed Robbery<\/strong>
\n20500 blk Mtn Hwy E, Spanaway<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery that just occurred at a fast-food restaurant. When they arrived, an employee told them that a white pickup truck pulled up to the drive-thru window, and the driver pointed a gun at her and demanded cash. The employee gave him the entire till and the suspect fled. She was unable to catch the license plate and the surveillance cameras were not operational.<\/p>\n

\nCommercial Burglary<\/strong>
\n7500 blk Golden Given Rd E, Tacoma<\/strong><\/p>\n

A deputy was dispatched to a burglary that occurred at an abandoned church. A church representative told the deputy that he arrived at the church and found a large hole in the ceiling as well as a hole in an exterior wall. It appears that a suspect entered the church through an external wall and then entered the ceiling, where he stole copper wire. When the suspect made a hole in the exterior wall, he damaged plumbing, which caused interior flooding. The victim said the location has been burglarized before and there is no surveillance video of the crime.
\nOver the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), 15 vehicles were reported stolen in Unincorporated Pierce County, and attempts were made on an additional two vehicles. Of those, six were Kia or Hyundai models. Five of the stolen vehicles were either unlocked, running, had keys\/fobs in the vehicle, or some combination of the three. None of the owners reported having an anti-theft device, such as a steering wheel lock. If you own a vehicle that is vulnerable to theft, like certain Kia\/Hyundai models, we strongly suggest that you purchase an anti-theft device.
