Commercial Burglary
11600 blk Trek Dr E, Eatonville<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies were dispatched to a commercial burglary that occurred overnight at a wildlife park. Two vending machines and a photo booth had been cut open and the coin collection trays were missing. A card reader had also been stolen from one of the machines. A padlock had been cut off a gate and a golf cart had ignition damage. The park\u2019s manager told deputies that someone attempted to cut open their ATM in May so they removed it to prevent further issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commercial Burglary
10400 blk Canyon Rd E<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies were dispatched to a commercial burglary at a farm supply store. When they arrived, they saw that the glass front door was shattered. Someone had also broken the Oakley sunglass display case and stole several pairs of sunglasses. Deputies tried to view the surveillance video, but the system kept encountering errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies were dispatched to a dumpster fire behind a business that is under construction. Fire personnel extinguished the fire before it could spread to the building. Deputies located witnesses who told them they didn\u2019t see the fire start but took action and started moving items away from the flames. Surveillance video confirms that they moved items after the fire started, but the video does not show how the fire started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

22nd Ave Ct NW & Stone Dr NW, Gig Harbor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies were dispatched to a security check involving a suspicious vehicle. When they arrived, a man told them that he was checking on his 100-acre parcel and noticed a pickup truck in front of his locked gate. He started walking down the gravel road, but decided it wasn\u2019t a safe decision, turned around and left. Two hours later, a neighbor called him and said the gate had been forced open by one of his excavators. The two drove down the road, but didn\u2019t see anyone, so they returned to the gate and the excavator. A few minutes later, the pickup from earlier approached. The victim said the driver opened his door in an attempt to hit him. The truck was driving slowly and the victim attempted to reach into the truck to grab the driver. The victim was knocked to the ground and the suspect drove away. aDeputies attempted to contact the truck\u2019s registered owner, but he was not at his residence. The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

100 blk Military Rd S, Spanaway<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patrol deputies were driving through a grocery store parking lot when they spotted a Honda Civic with a switched plate. Deputies contacted a man who had the car\u2019s hood up and appeared to be working on the vehicle. The suspect had a warrant for violating a domestic-violence no-contact order. He struggled with deputies as they attempted to arrest him on his warrant. Once he was cuffed, he told deputies he had a pistol tucked into his waistband. The 22-year-old suspect, a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and booked into jail for his warrant and for unlawful possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
