11300 blk 10th Ave Ct E, Parkland<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A deputy was dispatched to an assault that had just occurred at an apartment complex. When he arrived, the victim told him that he was a maintenance employee. He said he had been working when he saw a silver minivan enter the complex through the exit gate. He didn\u2019t believe the driver was a resident and told him he needed to leave. The two argued and the driver sped away through the complex. The employee chased after the vehicle so he could take a photo of the license plate. Before he could get a photo, the vehicle turned around and the driver accelerated towards the employee, striking him and sideswiping his vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Armed Carjacking
20200 blk Mountain Hwy E, Spanaway<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A deputy was dispatched to an armed car jacking that had just occurred outside a fast-food restaurant. When she arrived, the victim told her that he was sitting in his car when a silver, four-door car pulled up next to him. The driver of that car asked the victim if he had any fentanyl pills before getting out of his car, pointing a gun at the victim, and ordering him out of his car. The victim was apparently not moving fast enough, so the suspect pistol-whipped him. One suspect drove away in the silver car and the suspect took off in the victim\u2019s car. According to the victim, both suspects were in their late teens to early 20s. The victim\u2019s vehicle was used by the suspects in two armed robberies before it was recovered in Tacoma the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Road Rage Shooting
13200 blk 98th Ave Ct E, South Hill<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A deputy was dispatched to a residence to contact the victim of a shooting that had just occurred. When he arrived, the victim told him that he had been driving southbound on 94th Ave E (near 136th St E) when he changed lanes. Then, a white Mercedes passed him in the turn lane, got in front of him and brake-checked him. Both vehicles turned eastbound onto 136th St E. The victim saw the Mercedes turn northbound onto 98th Ave Ct E and he followed. When the driver of the Mercedes parked at a residence and got out of his car, the victim yelled at him about his driving. The two exchanged words, the Mercedes driver challenged him to a fight, and then the victim drove away. Since the road was a dead end, he had to turn around and drive past the residence again. As he drove by, he said the suspect fired several shots at his vehicle. The deputy drove to the house where the Mercedes was last seen, but it was no longer there. It was also not there the following day. The deputy collected several shell casings for testing. The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Armed Robbery, Eluding
10300 blk Ainsworth Ave S, Parkland<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A deputy was responding to a call for service when he was flagged down by two individuals. One of them told him that he had just been robbed at gunpoint. The deputy notified other deputies of the suspect\u2019s vehicle description and asked them to check the area. The victim told the deputy that he was walking northbound on Ainsworth Ave when a gray Dodge Durango pulled up next to him. The driver pointed a gun at him and demanded his valuables. The other man who flagged down the deputy had witnessed the robbery. While the deputy was still at the scene, another deputy announced over the radio that he was behind the suspect\u2019s vehicle, which now had a trailer attached to it. The deputy initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled. Since armed robbery is a pursuable offense, deputies chased after it. The driver was so reckless that deputies decided it was best to terminate the pursuit. Moments later, deputies discovered that the vehicle had collided with another vehicle in a Tacoma intersection. A female passenger from the suspect\u2019s vehicle was detained. Deputies were unable to locate the two male suspects, including the driver.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
