2\/24\/24, 12:45am Deputies were dispatched to a commercial burglary alarm at a video game store. When they arrived, they saw that one of the store windows was shattered. Deputies did not locate anyone inside the store. The owner told deputies that six packs of rare Pokemon cards had been stolen, along with gaming headsets. The owner and manager are working to obtain surveillance video for us to review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2\/24\/24, 9:30pm A deputy was dispatched to a commercial burglary that occurred overnight at a Mexican restaurant. The suspect(s) pried open the front door and stole the safe. The business has surveillance video, but it appears the cameras weren\u2019t operating at the time of the burglary. The deputy did not observe any other evidence at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2\/25\/24, 12:05am Deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence assault involving a firearm. When they arrived, the 25-year-old victim told them that her ex-boyfriend had broken into her townhouse and assaulted her. She said he held her down on the bed and strangled her. The victim was able to get away and she ran out of the townhouse. Surveillance video shows the suspect chasing after the victim and then leaving the area. He had a gun on his hip, but the victim said he didn\u2019t threaten her with it. Deputies located the 26-year-old suspect at his apartment in South Hill and arrested him for burglary in the first degree and domestic violence assault in the second degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2\/25\/24, 1:54am A deputy was dispatched to a single vehicle collision where the driver was possibly DUI. When the deputy arrived, a male passenger was standing outside of the car and declined medical aid. The driver, a 37-year-old female also declined medical aid. It appeared that the vehicle was travelling southbound at a high rate of speed and the driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle hit a dirt mound and came to rest in a field. The deputy smelled alcohol inside the vehicle and saw an open bottle on the floorboard. The driver was unable to balance and kept leaning against the car. She said she was at a bar and was headed home, but based on the address she provided, she was headed in the wrong direction.
