4\/20\/24, 9:16pm A deputy was dispatched to a commercial burglary that occurred at a beauty supply store. When he arrived, the manager told him that the suspect(s) pried open the front door, which was already damaged due to a prior burglary. The suspect(s) stole 15 sets of clippers, which are worth approximately $3,000. We are working with the business to obtain surveillance video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4\/21\/24, 3:00 \u2013 4:00am A deputy was dispatched to a vehicle prowl and residential burglary that occurred overnight. It appears that the suspect(s) broke into the victim\u2019s truck and then used the garage door opener to access the garage. Multiple carpentry tools were stolen, as well as a chop saw, leaf blower, chain saw and hedge trimmer. The victim has an app that shows the garage was accessed at 3:48 a.m.; however, there is no surveillance video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4\/21\/24, 5:01pm Deputies were dispatched to a hit-and-run collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. When they arrived, the motorcycle rider told them that he had been stopped at a red light and when it turned green, he was hit from behind by a vehicle. The rider was thrown from his motorcycle and the causing vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Moments later, the suspect lost control of his vehicle and collided with a utility box and then a wooden fence. Fire personnel blocked in the suspect\u2019s vehicle, preventing him from fleeing. The 39-year-old suspect was arrested and then evaluated at the hospital before being booked into jail for hit and run, reckless driving, and destruction of property. The 20-year-old victim did not sustain any serious injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4\/21\/24, 11:56pm A patrol deputy was driving past a smoke shop and noticed a vehicle in the parking lot, even though the business was closed. We have a trespass agreement on file with the business, so the deputy stopped to investigate. The deputy contacted the driver and advised him he was trespassing. When asked for his name and if he had any warrants, he told the deputy that he only had a \u201csmall\u201d warrant. A records check revealed that he had a felony warrant for failing appear in court on stolen vehicle charges. The deputy arrested the 32-year-old suspect. When searching the suspect\u2019s bag, deputies found 14 shaved keys, which are used to steal vehicles. The suspect claimed he used to steal cars but hasn\u2019t stolen one in a long time. Deputies also found various pills and powders in his bag.
