The dangers of leaving a child or animal in a hot vehicle can be deadly. All these types of calls can be prevented by planning ahead and taking proper precautions. A good rule of thumb if the sun is out, is to calculate the temperature in your vehicle to be 20 degrees hotter or more than the outside temperature. In this video, you will hear from Animal Control Officer Kirsch and Deputy Cappetto on how to be safe during hot weather.
