Forest Service Road 7170, Foothills Detachment
Incident # 24-341-01841 & 24-341-00474<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies responded to two burglaries at cabins in the Deep Creek area. They had already responded to other burglaries in the area, which all appear to be connected. Stolen items include a generator, a firearm, and ski gear. Investigators have a suspect vehicle description and are working to identify the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Hill
Incident # 24-341-01254<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies were flagged down by a woman who said she had just been scammed into sending money to someone who claimed to be a Pierce County Sheriff\u2019s deputy. The woman was still on the phone with the scammer, so one of the deputies asked to speak with them. When the deputy introduced himself, the scammer hung up. The woman said she received a call from an alleged deputy who said she had a warrant for failing to respond for jury duty. The woman followed the caller\u2019s instructions and sent the caller $5,120 worth of crypto currency. The deputies took photos of the receipts and informed the victim that deputies will never contact her to ask for money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

184th St E & 78th Ave E, South Hill
Incident # 24-342-00011<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A deputy was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision where the cars had struck each other head-on. When he arrived, he checked for injuries and then spoke with the drivers and witnesses. One vehicle was headed southbound 78th Ave and turned left in front of the other vehicle, which was headed northbound. Both drivers claimed the other ran a red light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13800 blk Pacific Ave S, Parkland
Incident # 24-344-00044<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A patrol deputy was driving on Pacific Ave S when he received a stolen vehicle notification on his automated license plate reader. He turned around and followed the vehicle into a parking lot. When the occupants exited the vehicle, he detained the female driver. A records check revealed that the car had been reported stolen in Spokane. The 30-year-old driver was booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle. Her 43-year-old male passenger was booked into the Puyallup Jail for a misdemeanor warrant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
