Here are a few highlights from over the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
#1 Man Drives Truck into Bar<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On May 4th around 3:30pm a male suspect came to a bar located at the 10000 block of Pacific Ave. S and was causing trouble with the customers and staff when he was asked to leave. Instead of just leaving, he made threats to kill the security guard, got into his truck, and proceeded to drive into the front door of the building before taking off. Deputies reviewed surveillance and were able to locate the damaged truck at the listed address for the driver. The male was confirmed to be the driver and taken into custody. The 51-year-old male was heavily intoxicated and booked for felony harassment, vandalism, hit and run, and reckless endangerment due to the bar being occupied by customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
#2 Female Distributing Drugs<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On May 3rd around 6:00pm, deputies were alerted to a female subject passed out in her vehicle with drug paraphernalia seen in her lap while parked at a shopping complex located at the 20300 block of Mountain Hwy E. Deputies arrested the 39-year-old female and located drugs, scales, cash, small baggies, and a notebook ledger with names and phone numbers. This established probable cause for felony Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, and she was trespassed from the location and booked into the Pierce County Jail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
#3 Car Parked in Middle of Road Recklessly<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On May 4th at approximately 1:20am, deputies were dispatched to a car parked sideways in the middle of the road with a male occupant sleeping inside at the 14200 block of C St S. Several passing vehicles had called to report they almost hit the car since it did not have any hazard lights on. Deputies did not know if the male was impaired and did not want him taking off. They woke him up and noticed he was not following directions and seemed like he wanted to take off. No signs of impairment were seen, and he was sitting on a gun. He kept telling deputies he was really tired. Deputies attempted to offer him a ride home, but he refused to provide his address and could not get ahold of anyone to come get his car. After negotiating for several minutes, the 26-year-old male became uncooperative. Deputies booked him into the Pierce County Jail for reckless endangerment since he didn’t seem to think anything was wrong with how he parked and said people could just go around him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
