If the temperatures are over 70 degrees, you should never leave an animal in the car. This could potentially lead to animal cruelty charges and the possibility of having your dog taken away. Another vulnerable population that we need to check up on during hot weather include our elderly population. Many elderly people who live alone may not have air conditioning and the means to escape the heat.
