#1 Attempted Residential Burglary Arrest<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On February 8th, around 9:40pm, deputies were dispatched to an active domestic violence burglary going on at an apartment complex in the Parkland area, where the suspect was attempting to break into the female victim’s home, with her children inside, and was making threats to harm them. When deputies arrived, other residents pointed out the suspect attempting to leave on foot. The suspect takes off running, and a short foot pursuit ends with a capture after the suspect trips and falls to the ground. The 37-year-old male suspect was arrested and booked for domestic violence burglary in the 2nd degree, resisting arrest, and malicious mischief in the 2nd degree due to significant damage to the victim\u2019s front door while he was attempting to break in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
#2 Commercial Burglary Arrest<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On February 8th, around 7:30am, a homeowner reported seeing two subjects on her surveillance cameras walking on her fenced property. When deputies arrived, they conducted an area check and found a hole in the back fence that led to a neighboring storage unit at the 6600 block of 114th Avenue. Ct. E in Puyallup. The deputies could hear the suspects in the fenced storage area and then saw the two subjects dump large duffel bags over a fence before running off. It becomes very dangerous when the suspects refuse to comply multiple times, and each time they run again. This was a large storage complex, and contacting possibly armed burglars was a dangerous task. The deputies received information that the suspects fled toward the main road. The deputies jump into their patrol car to check and locate one of the suspects at 112th Ave and Benston Dr E.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 30-year-old male suspect was arrested for two counts of burglary in the 2nd degree and obstructing a law enforcement officer. The deputies returned to the scene and located the duffel bags seen thrown over the fence. Large amounts of tools and three rifles were recovered. The second suspect remains outstanding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you own a storage unit, check on your property regularly and keep an inventory of items that are stored. Never store items like firearms or expensive items since storage burglaries are very common. Great job to all the deputies who worked the busy weekend and kept us safe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
