#1 Domestic Violence Incident<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 6th, around 2:45pm, deputies were called to an active domestic violence call that reportedly involved a knife. When deputies arrived, they could see a physical altercation between a male and a female on the front porch. The male was heavily intoxicated, and children were inside the home. When deputies asked the male to put his bottle of Gin down, the male attempted to go back inside the home. The deputies were concerned the male would flee into the home and hurt other people, so they moved in quickly to stop him. While attempting to take him into custody, the deputies and the male suspect broke through the railing and fell approximately 5 feet from the stairway. After several minutes of struggling, the male was taken into custody. Fire arrived and transported the male to a local hospital to be checked out for minor injuries before being booked into jail. The 38-year-old male was booked for domestic violence assault 4th degree, and the 37-year-old female was also taken into custody for obstructing after she continued to intervene while deputies attempted the arrest. Two of the deputies who had also fallen were taken to a local hospital to be checked out for their injuries sustained during the fall and arrest.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

#2 Hundreds of Amazon Packages Stolen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you did not receive your Amazon package, this may be the reason why. On April 5th, around 11:00 a.m., deputies were called to a home with concerns about “hundreds of Amazon packages” scattered along the backside of a garage. It turned out the female suspect was a Flex Driver for Amazon while using her personal vehicle to deliver packages. Instead of delivering the packages, she would collect payment from Amazon, not deliver the packages, claim they were undeliverable, and bring them home.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over $12,000 dollars in product had been stolen, and another $8,000 was unaccounted for. All remaining packages were returned to Amazon. The 48-year-old female was arrested for felony theft in the 1st degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#3 Daffodil Parade Fun<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And lastly, if you were able to attend the Daffodil Parade, it was fun times for all as the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office participated in a boat float along with our classic 1974 Plymouth Fury.
