{"id":3092,"date":"2026-04-09T17:13:54","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T17:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.piercecountywa.gov\/pcsdblotter\/?p=3092"},"modified":"2026-04-09T17:13:55","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T17:13:55","slug":"human-remains-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.piercecountywa.gov\/pcsdblotter\/2026\/04\/09\/human-remains-identified\/","title":{"rendered":"Human Remains Identified\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Pierce County Sheriff&#8217;s Office is sad to announce that human remains were located in January 2026, in an isolated, wooded area of JBLM near Spanaway, Wash., accessible to the public.&nbsp; The remains have been identified as our missing person Aidan Spear from a 2022 missing persons case.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January of 2022, 21-year-old Aidan Spear, was supposed to meet up with her mother, but never showed up. Aidan was a Native American female, 5&#8217;6&#8243;, 120&nbsp;lbs&nbsp;with brown hair and brown eyes.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our condolences go out to Aidan&#8217;s family and friends as we navigate the next steps. This discovery opens up new leads and avenues for the joint investigation with the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division.
