On May 5th, around 2:20 pm, deputies received a call from a bystander who witnessed a female being forced into a black vehicle. While a deputy was interviewing the witness, the kidnapper’s vehicle drove by, and the witness pointed it out as being the involved vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deputies were able to cut off the direction of travel of the suspect vehicle and detained the male driver, who was reported to have been seen forcing the female into the car. Another female, who was different from the female reported kidnapped, quickly walked away from the scene and refused to stop with verbal commands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once the male suspect was detained, a deputy caught up to the fleeing female and detained her. She claimed she had no involvement and was later released at the scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deputies later learned the male had dumped the kidnapped 24-year-old female out of his car when he saw police and did not want to be seen with her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was located safe a few minutes later in the neighborhood. The female victim appeared to have fresh marks on her and was in fear over everything that transpired. Resources were provided, and the investigation is ongoing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 29-year-old male was arrested for kidnapping in the 2nd degree, assault in the 4th degree, and felony violation of a court order. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
