{"id":3142,"date":"2026-05-15T22:24:34","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T22:24:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.piercecountywa.gov\/pcsdblotter\/?p=3142"},"modified":"2026-05-15T22:24:36","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T22:24:36","slug":"shooting-investigation-suspects-outstanding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.piercecountywa.gov\/pcsdblotter\/2026\/05\/15\/shooting-investigation-suspects-outstanding\/","title":{"rendered":"Shooting Investigation \u2013 Suspects Outstanding\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We recently had a shooting on May 13<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;and the victim is alive due to the quick actions of a bystander and a deputy.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On May 13<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;around 5:15pm, our Mountain Detachment deputies responded to reports of a male who had been shot in the 25400 block of 35th Ave. E in Spanaway. When the first deputy arrived, a bystander had used his belt as a tourniquet to help stop the bleeding. The deputy immediately goes into action providing life saving care.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was learned a red vehicle had pulled up and the male was shot before the suspects fled in the vehicle.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 19-year-old male was transported in serious condition.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A short time later, dispatch informed the deputies a vehicle matching the suspect car that fled the scene was reported on fire a few miles away at Weiler Rd E and 49<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;Ave. E. The nearby residents had already put the fire out.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vehicle was listed as a recent stolen vehicle.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspect(s) are outstanding and this is an active investigation.
