On June 8 at 7:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence protection order violation in progress. The victim reported her husband, who was prohibited from being at the residence, was outside yelling and attempting to force entry by attempting to break down the door and break windows. The suspect had also called and messaged the victim more than 100 times, repeatedly violating the no-contact order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While deputies were speaking with the victim, the suspect arrived at the residence in his vehicle. Deputies attempted to contact him and take him into custody, but he fled at a high rate of speed. Deputies searched the area but were initially unable to locate him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A short time later, another deputy spotted the suspect pulling onto 66th Ave. E in Spanaway. The suspect fled again, leading deputies on a lengthy pursuit that ended near the 13100 block of Kapowsin Highway East after deputies successfully used a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 28-year-old suspect was arrested and booked for felony violation of a no-contact order, felony burglary for attempting to break into the protected person’s residence, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, attempting to elude law enforcement, and resisting arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
