The day begins with soaring temperatures and welfare checks on people sheltering under blankets, as concerned community members call to make sure they’re okay. From there, Deputy Cappetto responds to a suspicious vehicle where allegedly one of the occupants was attempting to sell a stolen firearm, leading to an arrest. The calls don’t stop there. Next comes a domestic violence incident, followed by another welfare check. Just when it seems the shift is winding down, three reckless motorcyclists pass by, lane-splitting and running red lights.
