#1 Domestic Violence Turns Dangerous<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 28th around 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a domestic violence court order violation in progress after a woman\u2019s ex-husband, who appeared to be intoxicated, showed up at her bedroom window. The victim immediately called 911 and reported that the man was leaving in his truck. Deputies spotted the vehicle as they arrived in the area, and a pursuit was initiated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pursuit was quickly brought to an end when a deputy performed a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT), disabling the pickup truck. The suspect attempted to drive away, but deputies were able to pin the vehicle in place. The 44-year-old suspect refused commands and continued reaching around inside the vehicle. At the time, deputies did not know there was a firearm on the passenger-side floorboard, and it appeared the suspect may have been reaching for it. Deputies deployed a 40mm less-lethal bean bag round, but it did not appear to have an effect. After several minutes, deputies moved in with a shield and took the suspect into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the scene was secured, deputies confirmed a revolver was visible on the passenger-side floorboard. The suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the Second Degree
\u2022 Eluding
\u2022 Obstructing Law Enforcement
\u2022 Malicious Mischief in the First Degree
\u2022 Driving While License Suspended in the Third Degree
\u2022 Operating a Vehicle Without an Ignition Interlock
\u2022 DUI with a Previous DUI Conviction<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#2 Stabbing in Elbe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early morning hours of August 31st, around 1:30 a.m., deputies responded to the Hobo Inn in Elbe following reports of a stabbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies learned that a male had stabbed a female multiple time. The victim had already been transported to a local hospital, by other witnesses on scene. The 40-year-old female victim was treated for three stab wounds and non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When deputies arrived in Elbe, the 21-year-old male suspect was still on scene and was covered in blood. Deputies determined the man was heavily intoxicated and took him into custody without further incident. The suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail for Assault in the First Degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
