\nDUI<\/strong>
\n128th St E & Waller Rd E, Parkland<\/strong><\/p>\n

A patrol deputy was driving westbound on 128th St E, passing Waller Rd E, when he noticed a pickup truck stopped on Waller Rd E. It caught the deputy\u2019s eye because it was stopped several car lengths short of the intersection. The deputy pulled up to the truck and noticed that the driver was passed out behind the wheel. The truck was in drive and the driver\u2019s foot was on the brake. The deputy also noticed beer cans throughout the cab of the truck. For everyone\u2019s safety, deputies opened the door and put the truck in park. It took several minutes to wake the driver up, and when he finally awoke, he refused to get out of the truck, and he struggled with deputies. The 36-year-old suspect was arrested for DUI and obstructing. He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw before being booked into jail.<\/p>\n

\nArmed Carjacking<\/strong>
\n16500 blk Meridian E, South Hill<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deputies were dispatched to an armed carjacking at a department store parking lot. When they arrived, the victim told them that she had just finished loading her groceries into her car when a juvenile approached her and held a 6-inch knife to her side. He ordered her to give him her keys and she complied. The suspect threw the victim to the ground before he drove away in her car. Deputies are working with the business to obtain video surveillance of the crime and suspect.<\/p>\n

11\/20\/22, 6:48pm<\/strong>
\nStolen Vehicle, Eluding<\/strong>
\n160th St E & 66th Ave E, South Hill<\/strong><\/p>\n

A traffic enforcement deputy was driving on Canyon Rd E at 160th St E when he noticed a newer Kia pull out of the gas station. Aware of the spike we\u2019re seeing in thefts of newer Kias, the deputy ran the license plate. He determined that the Kia was in fact stolen, so he followed the it. When backup arrived, deputies attempted to box in the Kia and stop it. The driver went around the deputies and took off at a high rate of speed. Since motor vehicle theft is not a pursuable offense, deputies could not chase after the Kia.<\/p>\n

\nDUI, Eluding, Stolen Vehicle<\/strong>
\n102nd St S & Ainsworth Ave S, Parkland<\/strong><\/p>\n

A patrol deputy attempted to stop a Kia after observing several signs of driver impairment. The driver sped away and continued to show signs of impairment. Since DUI is a pursuable offense, the deputy chased after the suspected DUI driver. During the pursuit, deputies learned that the Kia was stolen. A deputy performed a PIT maneuver and the vehicle became disabled in the 14600 block of C St S. All three occupants in the vehicle were 15-year-old males. The driver showed signs of drug impairment and was arrested for felony DUI, eluding, and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw before being booked into Remann Hall. One of the passengers had a glass-breaking tool in his pocket. Deputies called the victim and helped her change a blown tire so that the vehicle was drivable again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
