PSATTF partners with local police agencies to shutdown crime hot spot

Last week, we assisted local police with boarding up a nuisance residence in the 1300 block of S. 90th St Ct in Tacoma. The residence has been a hot spot for drive-by shootings and stolen vehicles.

This boarding was the result of a five-month joint investigation between the Tacoma Police Department’s Community Policing Unit, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department’s Civil Unit, and our task force.

Since Oct. 1, 2022, there have been approximately 37 calls for service at this residence, 3 drive-by shootings, and 10 stolen cars have been recovered. A prolific violent offender associated with the home was arrested last week by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department after a foot chase.

The house is now boarded up with a “Do Not Occupy/Enter: Subject to arrest” warning sign posted. The neighbors were extremely thankful that the dangerous occupants were removed from the home and won’t be able to continue their criminal activity here.
