On Friday, March 25, a procession will precede the Celebration of Life for Deputy Dom Calata.
The procession will begin at the Washington State Fair and end at the Church For All Nations at 111 112th St E in Parkland.
The procession will significantly affect traffic along 112th St E between 94th Ave E (South Hill) and Pacific Ave S (Parkland). During the procession, traffic (eastbound and westbound) will not be permitted on 112th St E. Additionally, northbound and southbound traffic will not be allowed to cross 112th St E. Impacts are expected from approximately 10:30 a.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m.
In order to accommodate heavy traffic at the Church For All Nations and to provide safety for attendees, crews will close 112th St E between Pacific Ave S and 7th Ave E from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thru traffic will not be allowed, but local traffic will still be permitted. The only exception is when the procession traffic is present. During that time, the roadway will be closed to all traffic.
Please plan accordingly if you live or work in the affected areas. Suggested alternate routes for northbound and southbound traffic are Spanaway Loop Rd S/Steele St S to the west and S. Meridian to the east.
Thank you in advance for your patience and support as we celebrate the life of Deputy Calata.
