Armed Robbery
100 blk Military Rd S, Spanaway-Parkland
Deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery that had just occurred at a grocery store. When deputies arrived, an employee told them that he has dealt with the two female suspects on numerous occasions. Just before the robbery, he received a notification from another nearby store that the suspects were making their rounds and had just attempted to steal $2,000 worth of items from the other store. The employee spotted the suspects in his store, and when he approached them, they started walking towards the door with a cart full of unpaid items. The employee tried to stop them, but one suspect pulled out a can of pepper spray and threatened to spray the employee. The suspects fled in a vehicle. They are believed to be connected to other thefts and robberies in the area and investigators are following up on leads.

Armed Robbery
15800 Pacific Ave S, Spanaway-Parkland
Deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery that had just occurred at a grocery store. When deputies arrived, an employee told them that he contacted two juveniles in the store because he believed they were shoplifting. One of the suspects was holding a bottle of tequila. When the employee tried to take it from him, the suspect told the employee to back up and implied that he had a gun. The suspects left the store, but on the way out, another suspect pulled a gun from his waist band and displayed it to the employee. The suspects got into an SUV and left. Deputies obtained some surveillance video, but are working with the store to obtain higher-quality video that can be used for identification. The suspects were all described as 15 to 18 years old.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery, Arrest
1600 blk 99th St E, Parkland
Deputies were dispatched to a report of a man passed out in a vehicle in front of a residence. When the first deputy arrived, he was notified by dispatch that the car had been stolen from the Tacoma area. The deputy put stop sticks in front of the tires while he waited for backup. When additional deputies arrived, they woke up the driver and arrested him. Deputies found Percocet in his pocket and the suspect asked if he could smoke one more pill before he went to jail. His request was denied. The 21-year-old suspect was booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle. He also had a warrant for the same crime.

Commercial Burglary
20300 Mountain Hwy E, Spanaway
A deputy was dispatched to a commercial burglary at a gas station. When he arrived, he saw that one of the glass doors was shattered. It appeared that a downrigger fishing weight had been thrown through the glass. According to surveillance video, a female suspect through the weight through the window and then entered the store. She stole multiple packs of cigarettes and other items from the counter. She put the items in a Christmas gift bag and left the store. The video is being sent to property crimes investigators in an attempt to identify the suspect.

Shoplift
17700 blk Pacific Ave S, Spanaway
A deputy was dispatched to a shoplift that had just occurred at a beauty supply store. When the deputy arrived, employees told him that two female suspects had been shoplifting in the store and left in a black car. The employees took a photo of the car and the license plate. The deputy ran the plate and determined that the car had been stolen from the Lakewood area. The suspects have not been identified.
