Fatal Collision
16500 blk Spanaway Loop Rd S, Spanaway
Deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Spanaway Loop Rd S. When they arrived, deputies discovered that one of the drivers and his dog were deceased. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. According to witnesses, the deceased driver was driving erratically prior to the collision. Investigators believe he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the centerline, and collided head-on with the other vehicle.

Fuel Theft, Vandalism
13300 blk Meridian E, South Hill
A deputy was dispatched to a fuel theft that occurred in a movie theater parking lot. When he arrived, the victim told him that he and his wife parked their Ford F-150 in the lot and then watched a movie. Afterwards, they came outside and noticed a large puddle of fuel under the truck. The victim took a closer look and saw a small hole that had been drilled into the gas tank. He said his gas tank was approximately 75% full prior to the theft and was now empty.

Eluding, Reckless Endangerment
16500 blk Meridian E, South Hill
A graveyard patrol deputy spotted a vehicle that had fled from deputies and Puyallup officers earlier in the shift. The vehicle was parked, so deputies turned on their emergency lights and boxed it in with their patrol cars. The driver refused to get out of the car and started to spin his tires, creating a large cloud of smoke. Deputies placed stop sticks in front of his tires to keep him from fleeing again. Then, they broke the windows and pepper-sprayed him. Soon after that, the suspect exited the vehicle and was taken into custody. He has fled from Puyallup officers on at least three other occasions recently and officers couldn’t pursue him. Once he was medically cleared, the 58-year-old suspect was booked into jail for: eluding, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, and obstructing.

Stolen Vehicle, Shots Fired
400 blk 111th St Ct E, Parkland
Patrol deputies spotted a stolen vehicle driving through an apartment complex. When deputies tried to stop it, the driver put the car in reverse and drove backwards through the complex. It crashed into a parked car and got stuck on it. Deputies conducted a high-stop and began giving instructions to the occupants. As they were trying to get the suspects out of the vehicle, they heard several gunshots. They couldn’t tell exactly where the shots were coming from, but they knew they were very close. The two suspects resisted arrest, but deputies eventually got them into custody. The 34-year-old female driver was booked into jail for possession of stolen vehicle, eluding and resisting arrest. The 33-year-old female passenger was arrested and booked into jail on four warrants and for possessing burglary tools. Other deputies responded to the scene and attempted to locate the shooter(s). That part of the investigation is ongoing.

Stolen Vehicle, Arrest
11000 blk Pacific Ave S, Parkland
A patrol deputy spotted a suspicious vehicle in a fast-food parking lot. When he approached, the male driver quickly got out of the truck and started walking away. The deputy ran the plate and discovered that it had been stolen from the Yelm area. The deputy caught up to the driver and took him into custody. The 57-year-old suspect was booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle.
