Commercial Burglary
200 blk Garfield St S, Parkland

A deputy was dispatched to a commercial burglary at a smoothie shop. When the deputy arrived, he saw that the glass front door was shattered. Dispatchers attempted to call the keyholder several times, but there was no answer. The deputy believes that only the cash register was taken, but we’ll follow up with the business owner to get an inventory of items that were taken.

Collision
13000 blk Canyon Rd E, South Hill

Deputies were dispatched to a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. When they arrived, fire personnel were treating the motorcycle rider, who was alert and talking. The other driver said she was traveling southbound on Canyon Rd E when she saw the motorcycle traveling northbound. She said the motorcycle clipped the center curb, lost control, and entered her lane. A witness, who was behind the motorcycle, provided the same information but added that the rider appeared to have been tossed from the motorcycle after he hit the curb but before the motorcycle hit the car. He also said the rider may have been messing with his GoPro camera at the time of the collision.

Commercial Burglary
5600 blk 112th St E, Summit

A deputy was dispatched to a commercial burglary at a teriyaki restaurant. When the deputy arrived, she spoke with the business owner, who said that she watched the burglary as it was happening via her security cameras. She said a man pulled up in a vehicle, smashed the glass door and entered the store. He stole cash from the register and fled. The owner wasn’t sure if the cameras were recording or not, so the deputy provided her a link to upload the footage if it is located.

10000 blk Pacific Ave S, Parkland

A deputy was dispatched to a commercial burglary at a car dealership. When the deputy arrived, the owner told him that two suspects broke into the dealership and stole numerous items, including: vehicle registrations, license plates, vehicle titles, computers, and car keys. The owner said that his security cameras weren’t working, and a witness was only able to provide vague descriptions of the suspects.

Stolen Vehicle, Arrest
10100 blk 224th St E, Graham

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle in a grocery store parking lot. The 911 caller said he located his mother-in-law’s stolen vehicle and that there two women associated with it. When deputies arrived, they noticed that the vehicle had switched plates and part of the VIN was covered. The female driver exited the grocery store and the witness pointed her out. The 33-year-old suspect was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. After playing the “name game,” deputies discovered she also had warrants for: escaping community custody, identify theft, burglary, and possession of stolen property.
