Burglary & Vehicle Theft
14400 blk 246th St E, Graham

Deputies were dispatched to a residential burglary and vehicle theft. When they arrived, the victim told them that the property belonged her to recently deceased sister and she was working on getting things moved out. She said when she arrived, the front door had been kicked in and her boat, boat trailer and Kia SUV were missing. She knew the house across the street was a “problem house,” so she decided to check it out. She spotted her boat and trailer under a tarp in the yard. The property owner told her she didn’t know how the boat got there. Deputies are familiar with the woman’s son, and there are numerous people living in travel trailers on the property. The woman told deputies that her son had made mention of the house across the street being vacant and that he might move into it. Deputies learned that another man who lives on the property may be in possession of the Kia, but he was not there at the time. The investigation is ongoing.

Reckless Driving Arrest
7400 blk 112th St E, Summit

Deputies were dispatched to a hit-and-run collision involving vehicles that had been racing on 112th St E. When deputies arrived, they determined that the vehicle believed to be fleeing was still at the scene. The car, a blue Subaru WRX, had significant front-end damage. According to witnesses, several cars were racing eastbound on 112th St E, including the Subaru, which was driving in oncoming lanes. Two vehicles traveling westbound both swerved in opposite directions to avoid a collision. The Subaru drove between them but clipped the rear bumper of one of the vehicles, causing that vehicle to roll over on its side. The Subaru struck an additional vehicle before coming to a stop. The Subaru’s 21-year-old driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation before being booked into jail for reckless driving. Nobody was seriously injured in the collision.
