At 4:38 am, on Wednesday March 27th, our deputies responded to a two car head on collision at 17400 Spanaway Loop Rd S. The cars hit head on but at low speeds. The male driver said the other female driver was unconscious. When deputies arrived they found the 47-year-old woman had a gunshot wound and she was pronounced deceased at the scene. Detectives and forensic investigators on scene to investigate along with traffic deputies.
The SWAT Team was called to come check the wood line for any possible suspects or evidence. Spanaway Loop Rd S will be shut down between 176th and 174th St for several hours.
We know there were at least two other vehicles behind this woman’s car before she veered off into the opposite side of the road. If anyone saw anything this morning please call the sheriff’s department or you can make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
