We hear you Pierce County! Have you noticed all the patrol cars on Canyon Rd. E? Over the course of two days, 122.5 hours were spent between police officers patrolling Canyon Rd. There were a total of 278 traffic infractions and 68 verbal warnings provided. The traffic infractions ranged anywhere from speeding, using electronic devices, no seat belts, DUI arrests and driving while license was suspended.
We want to thank The Pierce County Traffic Safety Task Force for making our roads safer. The task force includes Tacoma, Ruston, Puyallup, Lakewood and Pierce County police officers.
More traffic emphasis are scheduled to take place on roads South of 224th St. E and Orting Kapowsin Rd. Be mindful of your driving and be safe out there.
