DUI in Your Front Yard

At 10:22 pm, on Saturday November 2nd, our deputies responded to a call of a truck parked in the front yard of a residence in Buckley. The callers said the vehicle nearly struck their home.

Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the lone occupant. The man appeared to be intoxicated and deputies asked him to step out of the vehicle. The man did not comply and deputies tried to pull him out to detain him. The man grabbed onto the steering wheel and was resisting being taken out of the truck.

Deputies were able to remove his hand from the wheel and then bring him to the ground and handcuff him.

The man was transported to the hospital to be checked and deputies obtained a warrant to get a blood draw for the DUI investigation.

Once the man was cleared from the hospital he was transported and booked into the Pierce County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated and Resisting Arrest.
