SWAT Callout for Rape Suspect Barricaded in a Home in Graham
At 12:45 pm, on Monday December 2nd, our deputies attempted to stop a vehicle with a suspect from a rape and assault case at 97th Ave and 204th St E.
The suspect and a female driver took off from the traffic stop and fled to a house at the dead end of 202nd St Ct E. The suspect and the woman with him ran into the house and were refusing to comply with demands to come out.
Deputies knew the suspect had been armed in the past and given the severity of the crime called for the Pierce County SWAT Team to respond.
As deputies were going to use the boom to push in the front door the suspect opened it up to surrender.
Both the suspect and his female driver were arrested. She is going to jail for obstruction for trying driving him away and refusing to come out of the house.
Great Job Deputies!!!
