On Feb. 16, at 3:00 p.m., a 911 caller reported that a shooting had occurred and a male was injured at 5100 Pioneer Way E in Waller. When deputies arrived, they searched the property but didn’t locate anyone with injuries. They did find evidence of a shooting near a barn at the back of this property.
At 4:04 p.m., a woman called 911 and reported that her 33-year-old husband just arrived home with a gunshot wound. Deputies responded and applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At 4:45 p.m., detectives and deputies were still searching the original property when a second male approached them and and said he had been shot. The 40-year-old man had serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
Detectives and forensic investigators responded to the scene to search for evidence.
Our community liaison deputies had visited this property earlier in the day to follow up on complaints about squatters and stolen vehicles.
The investigation is ongoing.
