This morning, at 8:30 a.m., a 911 caller reported that he had just located a stolen Polaris Ranger side-by-side ATV in the 14200 block of Military Rd E, near the Foothills Trail. The ATV was on a trailer that was attached to an older white pickup truck. The 911 caller did not see anyone inside the truck, and there was a note on the window that said the truck was out of gas.
When a deputy arrived, he discovered that there were now two people inside the truck, and both were slumped over. He called for backup and multiple deputies arrived to assist. They placed stop sticks behind the tires and blocked in the vehicle so it couldn’t flee.
Deputies woke up the occupants and took them into custody. The 20-year-old driver was booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle.
