Commercial Burglary of $55,000 in Wire Theft
On Friday, April 4th, at around 8:45 AM, deputies were dispatched to a business in Parkland for a commercial burglary totaling over $55,000 worth of materials. The suspects used a forklift to load copper wire into the back of a box truck. The suspects are still at large so if you recognize any of the four suspects, the white newer model Jeep Cherokee, or the white box truck in this video, please contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office through the non-emergency phone line.
Convenience Store Arrest and Narcotics
On Saturday, April 5th, at around 12:30am, a deputy at a convenience store on 112th St. E and Canyon Rd. spotted a red sedan. Recognizing the vehicle, the deputy knew the registered owner had an outstanding warrant. The Deputy went Inside the store and located the 42-year-old female, who was then arrested and taken into custody. Upon a search of her purse, 30 grams of methamphetamine, baggies, a scale, and a syringe that tested positive for heroin was found. She was charged with her pre-existing felony warrant for Assault in the Second Degree and Felony Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute.
Motorcycle Collision and Fatality
On Saturday, April 5th, at approximately 9:00pm, deputies were dispatched to Spanaway Loop Road and Fair Oaks Drive where a motorcycle had collided with a pickup truck at a high rate of speed. When deputies arrived, they found the motorcyclist unresponsive and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the truck remained on scene and was cooperative with law enforcement. No signs of impairment were seen.
