Our School Resource Officers had the honor of being invited to put together graduation gifts for 32 unaccompanied youth that are graduating from the Bethel School District this week. An unaccompanied youth is a child or teen who is not living with a parent or legal guardian and may be in a temporary living situation. Graduating can be difficult for those that don’t have a strong support system, and these youth have demonstrated grit and perseverance. Thank you to the Bethel School District Family Center for being a vital asset in these young people’s lives, and thank you, Rainier View Christian Church, for your donations and time.
If you would like to support the unaccompanied youth program with the Bethel School District, they accept donations and gift cards for the youth all year round. Please contact the Unaccompanied Youth Navigator, Tammi Booth @ tbooth@bethelsd.org for more information or stop by the Bethel Family Center!
