Over the Weekend 6-9-25

It’s time to review a few calls from over the weekend. Let’s dive in!

#1 Pursuit of Organized Retail Theft Suspect

Early in the morning of June 9th around 3:00am, a deputy was patrolling Canyon Rd when he spotted a vehicle with a male driver that was wanted for felony organized retail theft. When the deputy attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled. A sergeant was able to get ahead of the pursuit in time to get stop sticks in place. After popping the tires,  the driver decided to pull over and comply with commands. The pursuit ended on State Route 512 and Vickery Ave. The 42-year-old male was booked for his organized retail theft warrant in addition to possessing drugs, eluding, and driving on a suspended license.

#2 Tool Thief Suspect in Distinguishable Truck:

This second call occurred on June 7th around 6:00am near our Peninsula Detachment and the Kitsap County line when a male suspect in an older blue Chevy S-10 pickup truck backed into the victim’s driveway and stole the victim’s chop saw and table saw. The surveillance shows a very distinguishable blue truck and male suspect. If you recognize this guy or his vehicle, give us a call! The victim would like his items back.

#3 Pharmacy Burglary:

Our last video shows our University Place deputies respond to a burglary at a pharmacy located at the 7300 block of 40th St. W. Surveillance shows three subjects break the front door glass and crawl into the business. After a couple minutes they flee the store and hop into what appears to be a white SUV type vehicle. Deputies also learned the Lakewood Police Department had responded to a pharmacy burglary the same night. Call the Sheriff’s office if you know anything about these suspects.

That’s a wrap for now. The weather is heating up so plan your day accordingly and ensure your pets are not left in vehicles during this hot weather.
