Drugs Stuffed Where?

On July 17th around 3:00pm, one of our deputies spotted a stolen car near Ainsworth Ave. S and 104th St. S. The deputy attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled, and a very short pursuit ended in a PIT maneuver to disable the driver. The female driver did not want to go with the program and continued to grab something from her purse and stuff it in her waist area. She continued to stuff items in her pants and shirt, and deputies suspected she had a gun. After a 20-minute standoff with no compliance, a K9 was brought to the scene, and she finally came out peacefully. It turns out the 36-year-old female did not have a gun but instead stuffed drugs in her… well, private area. She was booked for eluding, obstruction, possession of a stolen vehicle, theft of a vehicle, and unlawful possession of drugs. This suspect may face several other charges, pending a search warrant of the vehicle, since multiple items of suspected stolen property could be seen in the car along with drug paraphernalia. Great job to our corrections deputies who found the concealed contraband and kept it from getting into the jail.
