Drug Bust

On September 1st around 8:30pm, deputies were dispatched to a male subject slumped over in the driver’s seat blocking the drive-thru at McDonald’s located at the 11000 block of Portland Ave. E. When deputies arrived, they could see in plain view a white powdery substance and drug equipment sitting in the center console. There was reasonable suspicion of drugs and DUI to detain the driver. The 39-year-old male was eventually placed under arrest, and a large quantity of drugs was located in his pockets along with a large amount of cash, which totaled $3,045. The vehicle was taken for a search warrant for suspicions of drug distribution.

The following day, on September 2nd, the warrant was served on the vehicle. Two pistols and a 3D-printed AR rifle with a suppressor, all fully loaded, were located in the vehicle along with baggies, scales, more cash, ammunition, bags of fentanyl pills, 929 grams of cocaine (which is 2.05 lbs), and 1,331 grams of meth (which is 2.93 lbs). This was a large amount of drugs taken off our streets as we continue the battle of fighting our drug epidemic. Great work to these two deputies for their work on this investigation.
