Over the Weekend 9-8-25

Most of you are aware of our SWAT call and arrest of a juvenile over the weekend from the press release on Saturday. Today, we provide you additional information and photos about the case to understand the magnitude of this investigation.

SWAT Arrest of 13-year-old

On September 6th around 1:00am, Pierce County deputies and SWAT arrested a 13-year-old after receiving information about a juvenile with school shooter ideations who was making threats to kill. The juvenile had also stated he had access to firearms. A search warrant of his residence yielded 23 firearms with several boxes of ammunition. It was noted that firearms were mounted on walls and accessible at any time to be taken down, and handguns were found unsecured throughout the home.

Several pieces of evidence from the suspect’s bedroom indicated he was obsessed with past school shooters and imitated similar behaviors with photos and inscriptions throughout his room. It appeared the suspect had everything ready to go to commit a mass shooting type of incident. It is unknown who or what the intended target was going to be, but it’s clear it was a matter of time before a tragic incident occurred.

Our detectives are working diligently on this case, and we will release more as we dig deeper into this incident.

DUI/Collison Arrest

This second call came out at 1:42pm on September 5th when a green Dodge Charger Hellcat was reported passing vehicles and traveling at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle attempted to unlawfully pass a semi-truck, the vehicle lost control, and witnesses report the vehicle flew 20 ft into the air before hitting an active power pole at 155th Ave E/Orting Kapowsin Hwy E. No other vehicles were hit; however, power lines fell onto a semi-truck, and the driver remained trapped inside until the lines could be deactivated.

The 41-year-old male who was driving the Challenger was taken into custody for DUI and blew a blood alcohol content of .14. He was arrested and charged with DUI and reckless endangerment.
