Over the Weekend 10-6-25

#1 Impersonation of a Police Officer

On October 5th, around 8:00 p.m., one of our Key Peninsula deputies spotted a vehicle using blue flashing lights, which appeared to be an attempt to pull vehicles over. The deputy had already contacted the driver earlier in the day using the blue flashing lights while in a parking lot. He was warned he could be arrested for impersonation. The same deputy saw the same driver and vehicle again using the lights, and this time, a vehicle was pulling over for the suspect. The deputy contacted the driver a second time and immediately arrested him. The 24-year-old male was arrested for impersonating a police officer, and the vehicle was taken for a search warrant.

#2 The Nicest Car Thief Ever!

On October 3rd, around 6:00pm, a victim called in to report he followed a male subject who stole his son’s car from the garage to the Dollar Tree located at the 15200 block of Pacific Ave. S. The homeowner was not currently living at the location. It turns out the 45-year-old suspect thought it would be ok to take the car since it didn’t appear to be anyone’s, and he thought it was junk. He was found in possession of someone else’s ID and a baggie of meth. He was arrested and booked into the Pierce County Jail for motor vehicle theft, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and possession of someone else’s ID.

#3 Armed Robbery

This last call is an armed robbery of a woman who threatened a Dollar Tree employee with a knife at the 11000 block of Canyon Rd. E after stuffing her duffle bag full of items and walking out the door. Deputies located the 36-year-old female in front of Wilco and arrested her. All items were returned to the store, and she was booked into the Pierce County Jail for the armed robbery.
