Mail Truck Catches Fire in Collision

On January 8 around 12:10 p.m., deputies responded to a mail truck that had caught on fire after colliding with a sedan at the 10600 block of Park Ave S in Parkland. The first deputy on scene recognized that the driver of the mail truck was injured and in danger due to the fire. The deputy pulled him away from the burning vehicle before attempting to put out the fire with the help of a bystander.

A back-seat passenger of the sedan was in serious condition. Both the male driver of the mail truck and the male back-seat passenger of the sedan were transported to local hospitals in serious condition.

Thank you to the female bystander who stopped to help and to Central Pierce Fire for all your great work.
