On April 1st around 2:00am, our K9 Handler and his K9 dog Deebo observed a sedan with no license plates driving in the 9900 block of Pacific Ave. E. They attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle fled. During a short pursuit, the vehicle hit a couple curbs and became disabled as the two subjects fled from the vehicle.
K9 Deebo was deployed and it didn’t take K9 Deebo long to have the suspect in custody.
The 31-year-old male suspect was already on bail for multiple other felonies and he will now be facing an additional felony charge of eluding, a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest and possession of dangerous weapons since brass knuckles were located in his pocket.
The 37-year-old male passenger that also attempted to flee was arrested for outstanding warrants as well.
Thank you to all the deputies working the graveyard shifts and keeping dangerous offenders off the street. And Deebo, you’re a good boy, I hope you got some treats.
