Incident # 24-307-01239

Deputies were dispatched to a shooting that occurred on Canyon Rd. According to the victim, he was shot in the arm, and the suspect was driving southbound on Canyon. Deputies located the suspect’s vehicle at Canyon Rd E and 192nd St E and conducted a high-risk stop. Once the suspect was in custody, deputies peered through the open window to see if they could find a weapon. On the front seat, under a lawn mower, deputies spotted a slingshot and metal pellets. The deputy who was with the victim confirmed that it appeared the victim had been shot with a BB gun. The 48-year-old suspect was booked into jail for assault in the second degree and reckless endangerment.

Hit-and-Run Collision, Arrest
200th St E & 22nd Ave E, Spanaway
Incident # 24-307-01430

Deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision where one driver fled the scene. When they arrived, deputies saw a heavily damaged Chevy Traverse in the middle of the road. They also saw a Dodge Stratus resting up against a road sign. According to Chevy driver, the Dodge driver pulled out of a neighborhood at a high rate of speed and hit her. The driver then got out of his car and took off on foot. The registered owner of the Dodge showed up on scene and said that the missing driver was her child’s father. Deputies located the man at a nearby residence and took him into custody. The 25-year-old was medically cleared at the hospital before he was booked into jail for hit and run.

DUI Collision, Resisting Arrest
11000 blk 238th Ave Ct E, Buckley
Incident # 24-307-01823

Deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision where a small pickup truck had driven into the 911 caller’s yard. When they arrived, deputies saw the truck resting almost up against a house. There were tire marks in the yard that led from the street. The driver was still in the truck and deputies ordered him to get out. He refused to comply, so deputies had to pull him from the truck. He showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI and resisting arrest. The 52-year-old was booked into the Pierce County Jail.

DUI Collision, Reckless Endangerment
17000 blk Forest Canyon Rd E, Bonney Lake
Incident # 24-308-00147

Deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision where a car had crashed into a propane filling station. When deputies arrived, they found a Chevy Traverse resting against concrete blocks that were protecting a large propane tank. A witness said he saw the collision and then saw the driver get a small child out of the backseat and flee on foot. Deputies located the 28-year-old suspect nearby and arrested him for DUI, hit and run, and reckless endangerment. His 2-year-old son was released to family members.

Residential Burglary
1400 blk 60th Ave NE, Fife Heights
Incident # 24-308-00423

Deputies were dispatched to a residential burglary in progress at a home that was under construction. Three suspects had stolen tools and equipment from inside the home and fled in a green Subaru when they were confronted by the victim. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a high-risk stop. The three suspects (ages 40, 43 and 49) were arrested and booked into jail for residential burglary. The stolen property was found inside their vehicle.
