11-year-old Noah was selected in May to be our “Sheriff for a Day.” This week, he received his uniform and got to spend an afternoon with the Sheriff and touring all the facilities.
Police agencies across the state participate in “Sheriff for a Day” and sponsor a child that suffers from a chronic illness. The event allows the child to have a special day where they can focus on their dreams rather than their conditions. Noah suffers from type 1 diabetes and was diagnosed at 4 years old.
