The Beach Is Worth the Trip—A Tow Bill Isn’t

Visiting PenMet Parks with water access during our warmer months can be a lot of fun. You know what’s not fun though? Spending forever looking for parking, or parking in a way that creates a safety hazard.

This recent video shows traffic congestion near DeMolay Sandspit Park on Fox Island. When vehicles line both sides of the road, block driveways, and narrow access to a single lane, it creates dangerous conditions for everyone.

Most importantly, if emergency responders need access to the park, blocked roadways can delay their response. Vehicles parked illegally or obstructing access may be subject to towing to allow emergency vehicles through.

Planning a visit? Arrive early! If the parking lot is full, please do not park along roadways or block driveways.
