This morning, at 6:17am, deputies responded to an armed robbery in the 500 block of 128th St S in Parkland.
An adult male and juvenile female attempted to rob the victim while he was siting in his car. The suspects shot the victim and then a struggle ensued. When deputies arrived, the victim was holding down the suspect on the ground.
The victim told deputies that the female had a gun. Deputies ordered her to show her hands, but she pulled out a gun and pointed it towards deputies. Deputies ordered her to drop the gun and she complied. She and the male suspect were taken into custody.
A Good Samaritan witnessed the commotion and took a gun away from the suspect who was struggling with the victim. He then grabbed a medical kit and helped render aid to the victim, whose young daughter was in the back of his car during the incident. She was not injured.
The adult male suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail for robbery in the first degree. The juvenile female was booked into Remann Hall for robbery in the first degree and assault on a police officer.
Prosecutors will review the case for additional charges related to the shooting.
