Drive-by shooting
7000 blk 83rd St Ct E, Summit-Waller

Deputies were dispatched to reports of shots fired in a residential area. When they arrived, they learned that two homes had been struck by gunfire. Deputies recovered bullet fragments and took photos of the damage. It appears that the shots were fired from 84th St E since there were bullet holes in the fences and in furniture in the backyards. Deputies were unable to locate any surveillance video of the shooting.

Shoplift
10300 blk 156th St E, South Hill

A department store security employee filed an online theft report. He said that an unknown male entered the store and went straight to the toy section. He grabbed 10 LEGO sets, then left through a fire exit. The total loss is $639.90.

DUI
14400 blk Purdy Dr NW, Purdy

A deputy was driving southbound on Purdy Dr NW when he noticed that the Toyota Prius in front of him did not have working taillights. He initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver. While speaking with her, the deputy could smell alcohol and noticed an open beer can in her car. A records check revealed that her license was suspended. The deputy asked her if she would like to perform field sobriety tests, but the driver declined, stating that she would fail them. The driver initially resisted arrest, but quickly gave up when other deputies arrived. She was transported to the hospital for a blood draw before being booked into jail for DUI and driving with a suspended license. The 36 year old was convicted of DUI in 2017.

Drive-by shooting
10400 blk Pacific Ave S, Parkland

Deputies were dispatched to a report of shots fired at a storage facility. When they arrived, the 911 caller told them that he was working in his storage unit when he heard a woman knocking loudly on a nearby unit. He heard the woman yell, “I don’t care if they have cameras.” When the witness went outside to see what was going on, he saw a black SUV (without plates) driving through the lot. The witness followed the vehicle out of the lot until he heard multiple gunshots. Deputies collected shell casings at the scene. They believe this incident may be connected to a unit that hosts after-hours parties at the complex.

Vehicle Prowl
2200 blk 168th St E, Spanaway

A deputy was dispatched to a vehicle prowl in a residential area. The victim said a woman broke into his vehicle and was smoking narcotics. When the deputy arrived, the victim said he heard a noise and went outside to check it out. He saw a woman sitting in the passenger seat of his car, smoking narcotics from tin foil. He pulled her from his vehicle and she ran away. He chased after her but lost sight of her when she hopped a fence. The woman left a purse behind, which contained four fentanyl pills. The deputy conducted an area check but was unable to locate the suspect.
